In recent years the Department of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) plays a vital role for student amenities. With its funds from the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resource(NLCPR) the DoNER has constructed more than 26 classrooms and has purchased more than 55 computers (PC) and peripherals and distributed to many Government colleges (till 2003). Construction of Multipurpose hall and distribution of PC is still continues in Government Colleges under this Department.

In addition to the above the followings listed have also provided by the Department as a part of student amenities

• • Procurement of games and sports material and conduct of sport festival in colleges every year.
  • Internal (within state) study tour for students undergoing different courses in graduate & post graduate level.
  • Books procurement for library every year (reference and syllabus bound books) for widening of knowledge
  • Construction of toilet, swimming pools, botanical gardens etc.
  • Organizing song completion and other cultural activities apart from the normal academic activities for exchange of knowledge culturally among the students belonging to different sections of state.
