Online Application for NEC & State Merit  Scholarship 2022-23

1. Rules for FRESH NEC/State Merit Scholarship

Available in NSP as the cases for Fresh NEC Merit Scholarship are done through NSP from 2020-21 Financial Year and the State Merit Scholarship from the current Financial Year, 2022-23.

2. Rules for Renewal of State & NEC Merit Scholarship

  • Rules for Renewal Applicants
        1. Only those students who had applied and awarded Fresh NEC Merit Scholarship, 2019-20 or Fresh State Merit Scholarship applied and awarded during or before 2021-22 and still continuing their respective courses of Study without any academic break.
        2. The head of the Institution should recommend only the scholarship holders who are promoted and got admission to the next higher class.
        3. Names of the Scholarship holders who are not promoted to the next higher class shall be removed from the list.
        4. In case of a scholarship holder who failed in one or more subjects but promoted to the next higher class, his/her case for renewal of the scholarship shall be considered only after clearing of the failed subjects in the next examination. His/her request for renewal shall be supported by a certificate from the head of the institution regarding his/her clearing of the backlogged subjects.
        5. Scholarship holders who have changed their subjects/institution shall not be allowed to avail renewal scholarship further.
        6. Scholarship holders who discontinue renewal of scholarship due to medical reasons may continue on submission of medical certificate from the District Medical Officer/ Head of a Medical Institution in this regard clearly indicating the Course and period of such break in study while applying for renewal.
        7. Extension of scholarship beyond the prescribed period may be considered on merit of the reasons given in the certificate issued by Head of the Educational Institution in this regard.
        8. M. Phil. Scholarship is sanctioned for a period of one and half year and may extend for another 6 months on recommendation of the head of the Institution/ Department.
        9. Scholarship for Ph.D. is sanctioned for a period of 3 years and may extend for another one year on recommendation of the head of the Institution/Department.

      • Before filling application form, please Scan and Save the above documents as single file in pdf format file size should be below 10 mb.
        The same needs to be uploaded as required during the “Online Application Process Please ensure that the scanned document files listed above are quite legible. Sign in https://highereducationmanipur.gov.in/scholarship/
      • After successful online form fill-up, Print out copy of the application form duly signed by the Head of the Institution should be uploaded before last date and hard copies of the uploaded documents be submitted to the Office of the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur within 20 days of the last date of online form submission .
